The ribbon has been cut and the Bush Central Barkway is now officially open!

The dog park is located just under the President George Bush Turnpike just west of the Central Expressway interchange. It will open at 6:30 a.m. and close at 10:30 p.m. daily, except for Wednesdays when it will open at 10 a.m. to allow for routine maintenance of the park facilities. This is a change from the opening time of 5 a.m. that was originally posted by mistake.

The facility includes separate areas for large and small dogs, and for puppy parents who wish to host a doggy birthday party, a rental area is also available. There is also an area for sedentary dogs or slower pace pooches recovering from surgery.
